“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”

A LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE
Travelling to Bangalore, India at a young age with my family was an eye-opening experience. We were invited to stay with a local church family, this led us to experience India as the locals do. We spent Christmas day at an orphanage handing out toys to children and to see their faces light up and hug us so tightly was a very impactful experience. The joy and love felt was overwhelming. These children, aged 3yrs old to 15yrs old, were ex-street children. The lesson I will always hold to heart is what gratefulness and compassion means, a smile and kindness to a stranger cost nothing but can be valued and felt and if we are in a position to give back we must do so.
I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with the ‘Caring Greatly’ initiative founded by an amazing, beautiful and kind human that I know - Kelly Howes. It is a non-profit organisation helping homeless and poverty-stricken families in Zimbabwe. After seeing how a little can help so many, makes me impelled to work with Kelly. As an ambassador of the 'Caring Greatly' initiative, a portion of the proceeds from every sale will be donated.
CANDLES FOR A CAUSE
‘Candles for a Cause’ is an art series of boutique candles that will help raise much-needed funds for the Andrew Love Cancer Centre. At the age of eight my aunty passed away from cancer. I always remembered her smiling and being optimistic. Her smile and warmth will always be in my memories. This was a tribute to Aunty Pheobe.
